 After a very different summer it is now September - how did that happen?!?!?

Children are heading back to school and college. Some of us are able to escape for a late break, either way we will get the chance to relax and recharge our batteries.

Do we deserve MeTime? Errrr - YES!!! We live in hectic, stressful times. We juggle children, work, housework, cooking and lots more and our bodies and brains need that downtime. 

If you don't set aside personal time you may find yourself overwhelmed and heading to burn out, and then you will be no use to anyone, let alone yourself.

That's why it's so important to take some time to recharge. To take some "Me Time" and I've compiled a little list of my favourite things to do.

• Book some time in your diary - just for you! If you don't book it out you probably won't do it

• Go for a walk. By yourself, without music. You will have no distractions and you can just enjoy some fresh air and feel rejuvenated after just a few minutes

• Relax into a warm, beautifully fragranced bath. Lock the door so that no-one interrupts you!

• Meditate. There are so many guided meditation tools out there now. Sit peacefully for 20-30 minutes and allow yourself to drift away.

• Meet a friend. Socialisation is so important to us all. We need the human connection and a chat with a friend over coffee and cake will make you both feel great.

• Read a book or magazine. Reading a great book is a great way to escape the humdrum of life and your imagination can be fired up.

• Pamper yourself. If your shoulders feel tense, enjoy a gentle massage. Treat yourself to a manicure, pretty hands always make us feel good.
• Stop and smell the roses! Enjoy nature around you (even when it's raining)

The exfoliation created by the crystals reveals soft silky skin and a fresh and glowing complexion

Problem Skin – Microdermabrasion perfect for treating oily, congested skin with blocked pores and blackheads. The precise control of the crystals allows a bespoke treatment that satisfies all the needs of your skin. Skin is left clearer, brighter, deep-cleansed with open pores less defined. For problematic skin, a course of treatments will be recommended, however, this treatment will keep you hooked as results are evident even after the very first treatment.

Acne scarring, Post Op scars, Stretch marks – any scar that is raised can be smoothed and any scar that is depressed can be blended to make it look less noticeable. Think of sandblasting a wall to create a smoother finish and that is literally what Microdermabrasion offers. This is undoubtedly the most precise treatment for scar work, utilising varying depths and speeds of crystal flow to offer a bespoke treatment will make any scar more polished and less noticeable.

Welcome to our first monthly news letter from Calla Studio. Here we will let you know what has been happening in the salon, new treatments coming in, great work done and hopefully lots more.

Here's a catch up on October - it's been a VERY busy month

At the beginning of October we went along to the MyVIP card Awards evening as we had been nominated for the Feeling Good Award and the Looking Good Award. Nearly the whole team went, and we were so proud of ourselves getting the Highly Commended award. 

Alison and Nicky have just completed their Tape Extension course and we are really excited about bringing the beautiful Viola Hair Extensions in to the salon. Viola Hair is beautiful high quality Remy Hair that can be straightened, curled and blow dried. With correct aftercare it is covered by a 190 day Quality Guarantee. More information will follow …...

Justine, Georgia and Emilia are providing the new Henna Brow, a full brow treatment for a longer lasting more intense brow look. Henna Brows give a complete brow styling treatment, to suit your face and your preferences. 

We've had a little bit of a refresh in the salon in October, our spray tan booth is looking amazing, all ready for the rush of spray tans in the lead up to party time.

We also have a new backdrop coming soon, so when you have a gorgeous new cut or colour we would love it if you let us take a photo to show it off to the world. 

So many people are switching up their colours and styles for the autumn, we've got some amazing new colours that have been released by L'Oréal that we want to introduce to you too.

You might also notice, our Instagram has had a bit of an overhaul too. Showing off some beautiful autumn colour combinations for your nails, rich vibrant new colours and of course it's not Calla Studio without some sparkle, so of course there are new glitters and foils to choose from too.

Autumn has arrived!

As the weather starts to get chillier (and wetter!) and the nights draw in, we start to think about snuggling down into jumpers and blankets.
